Through the course of our business we collect personal information from many people. This policy outlines what information we collect, how it is stored and what it is used for. It is our policy not to use any personal information for any purpose other than which it is intended to conduct our business and provide you with services.
This policy and the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) are designed to protect individual’s information. Business contacts and information are considered to be in the public domain and therefore not covered. The GDPR is in force from May 25th 2018.
What information will we collect and how will we use it?
- We will collect basic identification information such as your name and contact details. This will be used for the supply of any services/products you request. This may include passing details to third party suppliers with whom we have placed a purchase order on your behalf. That supplier will further share those details with third party couriers etc. We will also need to share details with our merchant account providers to administer payments where you’ve ordered a product and with our own courier service to ensure your order reaches the intended destination.
- Details required to administer our accounts and billing.
- Electronic delivery of newsletters and any other internally generated information.
- Postal distribution of Colly Brook Fine Furnishings approved printed material.
We will never knowingly sell or share any personally identifiable information collected by us to any third party.
We will retain all given information on the following basis.
- All information required to administer our accounts system, including bank account details, are stored on Sage and Quick Books software which is encrypted. All paper accounting information is routinely destroyed after 7 years.
- All other contact details and information will be retained indefinitely either on a local hard drive or in paper form stored in locked filing cabinets. Electronic backups are taken to a local drive stored offsite.
- We will hold the information detailed in 2) above so that we can maintain archived records of orders.
We will not retain any credit or debit card details beyond the period needed to take any payment due to Colly Brook Fine Furnishings. No written or electronic record will be made of any such payment card.
We have to abide by the law of the land and if information is legitimately requested by the Government or one of their agencies we will comply with any such request.
You may at any time review or update any personally identifiable information we hold. In the first instance please make contact at firstname.lastname@example.orgWe will take any reasonable steps to confirm your identity before any such changes are made.

Colly Brook Fine Furnishings reserves the right to alter, without notice, this policy if either required to under law or to improve services and benefits to our customers. The current policy will always remain available on our website www.collybrook.co.uk
There is a standard charge of £6.95 for all orders sent within the UK. There are a few larger, oversized items that incur a £10.00 delivery charge. Long items, e.g. curtain poles, by courier to Scottish Highlands and UK islands may attract an extra charge – please ask before placing your order. Unfortunately we no longer ship items internationally.
We will normally despatch your order within 2-3 working days, subject to stock availability. Orders are sent by Royal Mail courier or other courier company. Not all trimmings and tiebacks are stock items and these may take 7-10 days. Other special order items may take up to 28 days. If any item is out of stock, we will contact you.
Some items are sent by courier, and if no-one is in to take delivery, the courier company will leave a card for you to contact them to arrange delivery and return the goods to their depot. After 7 days, if no contact is made, the goods will be returned to us. We will do one of the following; contact you to offer re-delivery of the goods at your own cost or refund the cost of the goods less the original delivery cost and return delivery cost. Please note that in the case of made to measure items no refunds will be made.
Please check all goods on arrival. Claims for shortages and damages must be made within 7 days of delivery.
Any claims for shortages or damages must be made within 7 days of receipt.
We will replace items lost or damaged in transit, but ask that you help Royal Mail to locate the lost parcel if requested. We may ask you to wait for a few days to see if your goods appear before sending a replacement.
If you wish to return your items then you must notify us within 14 days of receiving your order. Please either telephone us or send an email and we will issue you with a returns number. You then have a further 14 days to return your unwanted items to us, in their original condition and packaging, at your expense, for a refund or an exchange.
There is no refund for samples that are returned. ITEMS CUT TO LENGTH, MADE TO MEASURE ITEMS AND SPECIAL ORDER ITEMS CANNOT BE RETURNED UNLESS FAULTY. PLEASE FULLY INSPECT ALL ITEMS BEFORE CUTTING. ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN CUT AND SUBSEQUENTLY FOUND TO BE FAULTY CANNOT BE RETURNED.
For your protection we recommend that you use a recorded delivery service. Colly Brook Fine Furnishings is not responsible for returned items that fail to arrive at our premises. We will notify you via e-mail when we have processed your refund.
It is the customers responsibility to ensure that all products are installed correctly.
Your statutory rights are not affected.

Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Point your mouse to ‘Our Products’ for the department list. Clicking on most images will give a larger image or more details.
You can pay by credit or debit card or elect to send a cheque by post.
We have tried to give accurate sizes, specifications and colour representations but all are approximate. Colours particularly will vary depending on your monitor resolution.
All prices include VAT.
No contract will exist between you and Colly Brook Fine Furnishings for the sale by it to you of any product unless and until Colly Brook Fine Furnishings accepts your order. The contract to buy is only binding when we ship the goods ordered to you.
There is a nominal charge for trimming and pole samples. We are happy for you to send us a swatch of fabric and we will match it up and suggest samples that you might like to order. Samples may occasionally be from a different batch to the stock, if an exact colour match is required please ask for a stock cutting. We are sorry, but we are only able to send a maximum of two samples with the same item number and colourway.

Credit Card Security
All credit card details are entered on a secure site and encrypted by Protx, who process the payments on our behalf using 128 bit encryption. They are not held in clear text on any web site. You may also send a cheque for your order.
